Cathay Cargo operates a fleet of 20 Boeing 747 freighters: six 747-400ERFs (Extended Range Freighter) and 14 747-8Fs, serving more than 40 destinations worldwide. Cathay Cargo also leverages the belly capacity of the Cathay Group’s Cathay Pacific and HK Express passenger fleets, which totals 231 aircraft operating scheduled services to around 100 destinations.
Air Hong Kong principally operates express cargo services for DHL Express. As of 27 June 2025, Air Hong Kong operates an all-A330F fleet comprising 14 aircraft in total. This includes 10 A330-300P2F (passenger-to-freighter converted aircraft) and four A330-200F freighters.

Cathay Cargo Terminal at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is one of the biggest and most sophisticated cargo terminals in the world. The terminal has been designed for an annual air cargo throughput of 2.6 million tonnes and is a common-use facility open to all airline customers.
Cathay Cargo Terminal continues to set new standards in operational efficiency, environmental design and service levels. This includes the Pharma Handling Centre to accommodate the growing demand for temperature-sensitive shipments. This recently added facility doubled the terminal’s overall temperature-controlled storage capacity and enables the processing of some 235,000 tonnes of pharmaceuticals per year, with dedicated truck docks for cargo acceptance and release under temperature-controlled conditions.
