Cathay Cargo hosted its annual Top Agents Dinner and Awards ceremony in Shanghai in September.

Director Cargo Tom Owen, Cathay Pacific Regional General Manager Carol Sun, General Manager Cargo Commercial James Evans and Regional Head of Cargo China Jenny He, hosted around 100 freight forwarder customers from Shanghai and from across Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel on the Bund.

As well as a chance to thank customers for their loyalty and support, the event was also an opportunity to introduce the We Know How campaign directly to the market, with a screening of the official campaign video.

Director Cargo Tom Owen then took to the stage to introduce the recent developments at Cathay Cargo, which include the fourth IATA CEIV accreditation, CEIV Lithium Batteries, which completes the set, developments with the intermodal cargo links between Dongguan and Hong Kong International Airport, and the resumption of the CBX Cross-Border Express trucking service run by the Cathay Cargo Terminal.

‘These are proof-points that not only show We Know How, but also highlight our brand ambition to become the most customer-centric air cargo service provider,’ Owen said.

After a gourmet dinner interspersed with games and contests, the evening concluded with the awards ceremony, with the Cathay Cargo senior team handing out ‘Best Partner’ awards to 23 of the freighter forwarder guests, as well as a lucky draw for two Business tickets to a destination on the Cathay Pacific network from any departure point on the Chinese Mainland.
