Team Americas celebrates freighter anniversary
Events in Miami and Houston mark 10 years of Cathay Cargo freighters
27 Nov 2019

Cathay Cargo has hosted two customer events in the US to mark 10 years of the freighter services to Houston and Miami.

Cathay Pacific’s Vice-president Cargo Americas, Fred Ruggiero, joined Alan Haddad, Area Cargo Manager (Houston), to welcome guests for a golf-themed night in Houston to thank guests for their support over the past decade of freighter operations.

Further south, Fred joined Camilo Gallo, Area Cargo Manager (Miami and Offline), for another customer event to celebrate 10 years of freighter services to Miami – a vital hub for South American air freight to Asia.

Camilo said: “It’s been 10 years of continuous growth in Miami and the Latin America region. We started our operation in Miami with just three flights a week, and now we have doubled our capacity. It’s been 10 years of resilience and persistence to offer better logistics solutions not only to our local customers in Miami but also to the Central American, South American, and the Caribbean markets. In just a few years, we have become the largest off-line carrier to Asia in the region. We couldn’t have achieved this without the support from our customers, interline partners, business partners and the great help from our regional Cathay team.”
