29 May 2019

Cathay Pacific Cargo’s Hong Kong sales team held its annual Top Agents Award Dinner at The Ritz-Carlton in late April to thank the business’ leading cargo agents for their ongoing support.

The dinner for 125 guests was hosted by Chief Executive Officer Rupert Hogg. Helping him kick off the event were Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Paul Loo, Director Services Delivery and Cathay Dragon CEO Algernon Yau, and Director Commercial and Cargo Ronald Lam.

In his opening remarks, Rupert expressed appreciation for the loyalty of Cathay Cargo’s customers. He noted that 2019 is already proving to be an exciting year for the Cathay Pacific Group, with the acquisition agreement for HK Express and the addition of two new destinations – Seattle and Komatsu in Japan.

Rupert also emphasised that despite the slower start to the year for the cargo business, Cathay Pacific remains committed to its long-term goal of becoming the most customer-centric air cargo service provider.

The event included entertainment as well, with the highlight being an appearance by Hong Kong actress Queenie Chu (朱慧敏) to perform two songs. The evening’s festivities ended with a singing and dancing performance led by Cathay Pacific’s senior management accompanied by members of the Hong Kong sales team.

The dinner guests also saw product showcases – including a virtual reality booth to experience Cathay Cargo’s Pharma LIFT, DG LIFT and Fresh LIFT services – and enjoyed photo booths where they could be pictured at Cathay Pacific’s two new destinations.
