Cathay Cargo hosted its first Kung Hei Fat Choy party following a three-year hiatus to celebrate Chinese New Year with customers, business partners and friends.

Around 150 guests gathered at the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel and Towers to celebrate the Lunar New Year in 2023 and welcome in the Year of the Rabbit.

Members of the Cathay Pacific leadership team, including CEO Ronald Lam, Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau, Director Cargo Tom Owen, GM Cargo Commercial George Edmunds, GM Cargo Service Delivery Frosti Lau, Head of Cargo Markets & Customer Solutions John Cheng, Chief Operating Officer, Cathay Pacific Services Ltd Mark Watts and Head of Cargo Sales Hong Kong and GBA Frank Yau were on hand to welcome guests, and to carry out the traditional eye-dotting of the golden dragon and lions.

After the traditional lion and dragon dance, guests heard plans for an exciting year ahead in Cargo from Tom and George. The evening culminated in a lucky draw for prizes – including two Business class round-trip tickets to any destination on the global Cathay Pacific network.

‘After three years, it was great to be back and say thanks to our customers face-to-face,’ said Cathay Cargo’s Frank Yau. ‘There was real sense of excitement after all this time.’
